1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, provide information to website owners, and improve the user experience.
2. How MusicMuse Uses Cookies
MusicMuse uses a minimal number of cookies, all of which are essential for the Service to function properly. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party marketing trackers, or cross-site tracking pixels.
2.1 Essential Cookies (Strictly Necessary)
These cookies are required for the basic functionality of MusicMuse. Without them, the Service cannot operate. They cannot be disabled.
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
mm_session (or PHPSESSID) | Maintains your login session so you stay authenticated as you navigate between pages. | Session (deleted when you close your browser) or up to 2 hours of inactivity | First-party, essential |
| CSRF token (stored in session) | Protects against Cross-Site Request Forgery attacks by validating that form submissions originate from MusicMuse. | 1 hour | First-party, essential |
2.2 Functional Cookies
We may use functional cookies to remember your preferences, such as your preferred language or display settings. These cookies are not currently used but may be introduced in the future with appropriate notice.
2.3 Analytics Cookies
We do not currently use third-party analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics). If we introduce analytics cookies in the future, we will update this Cookie Policy and, where required by law, request your consent before placing them.
2.4 Advertising Cookies
MusicMuse does not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or any third-party ad-tracking technologies. We do not participate in advertising networks.
3. Third-Party Cookies
When you interact with certain features of MusicMuse, third-party services may set their own cookies:
- Stripe (payment processing): When you access the checkout or billing portal, Stripe may set cookies to process your payment securely and prevent fraud. These cookies are governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Google Fonts: MusicMuse loads fonts from Google Fonts. Google may collect limited technical data (IP address) when serving font files. See Google's Privacy Policy.
4. Managing Cookies
You can control and manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- View what cookies are currently stored and delete them individually or in bulk
- Block all cookies or block only third-party cookies
- Set rules for specific websites
- Receive a notification when a cookie is being set
Important: If you disable or delete essential cookies used by MusicMuse, you will not be able to log in or use the Service. The session cookie is required for authentication.

5. Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting. Because there is no accepted standard for how to respond to DNT signals, MusicMuse does not currently respond to DNT signals. However, since we do not use tracking or advertising cookies, our practices are already consistent with the intent of DNT.
6. Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If we introduce new categories of cookies (such as analytics or advertising cookies), we will provide prominent notice and, where required, obtain your consent.
