This document constitutes a legally binding agreement between you and Astrionix LLC.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account on, accessing, or using MusicMuse (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"), our Privacy Policy, our Refund Policy, and our Cookie Policy, each of which is incorporated herein by reference. If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.
These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service, including users who access MusicMuse through a web browser, progressive web app (PWA), mobile application, or any other client.
We may revise these Terms at any time by posting the updated version on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated at least thirty (30) days in advance via email or in-app notification. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Description of Service
MusicMuse is a subscription-based music education platform operated by Astrionix LLC ("Astrionix," "we," "us," or "our"). The Service provides:
- Culturally contextualized music lessons spanning six world regions
- Biographical and historical content about legendary musical artists
- AI-powered practice feedback and scoring using microphone or MIDI input
- A VOSS Coach chat assistant for music theory and technique questions
- Progress tracking, gamification (XP, badges, levels), and analytics
- Classroom and organization management tools (for Enterprise plans)
- A digital store for sheet music, courses, and merchandise
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access and reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least thirteen (13) years of age to use MusicMuse. If you are between thirteen (13) and eighteen (18) years of age (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction), you may only use MusicMuse with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms on your behalf.
By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet the eligibility requirements stated herein. If we learn that a user does not meet these requirements, we will promptly terminate their account.
4. Account Registration and Security
To access most features, you must register for an account by providing your name, email address, and a password. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information
- Maintain the security of your password and accept all risks of unauthorized access to your account
- Promptly notify us if you discover or otherwise suspect any unauthorized use of your account
- Not create more than one account per person, nor create an account for another person without their permission
- Not use another person's account without their express authorization
You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to safeguard your login credentials.
5. Free Trial
New individual accounts receive a fourteen (14) day free trial with limited feature access as described on the Pricing page. The free trial begins at the moment of account creation. No payment information is required to start the trial.
At the end of the trial period, your account remains active but access to premium features is restricted until you subscribe to a paid plan. No data is deleted when your trial expires. We may change the duration or availability of the free trial at any time without prior notice.
The free trial is limited to one per person and one per household. We reserve the right to revoke or refuse a free trial if we determine it is being abused.
6. Subscription Plans and Billing
6.1 Plans and Pricing
MusicMuse offers several subscription tiers: Starter, Pro, and Enterprise. Current pricing is displayed on the Pricing page. Prices are stated in United States Dollars (USD) and do not include applicable taxes, which will be added where required by law.
We reserve the right to change our pricing at any time. Price changes for existing subscribers will take effect at the start of the next billing cycle following at least thirty (30) days' written notice.
6.2 Billing and Payment
Subscriptions are billed on a recurring monthly or annual basis, depending on the plan selected at checkout. Payments are processed securely through our third-party payment processor, Stripe, Inc. ("Stripe"). By subscribing, you authorize Stripe to charge your designated payment method at the beginning of each billing cycle.
You are responsible for providing a valid payment method and ensuring sufficient funds are available. If a payment fails, we may retry the charge, downgrade your access, or suspend your account after reasonable notice.
6.3 Upgrades and Downgrades
You may upgrade or downgrade your subscription plan at any time through your account settings or the Stripe billing portal. Upgrades take effect immediately, and you will be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the current billing cycle. Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing cycle; you retain your current plan's features until then.
6.4 Enterprise Plans
Enterprise plans are available for studios, schools, and organizations. Enterprise pricing, seat counts, and onboarding terms are determined on a per-organization basis. Contact our sales team for details.
7. Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings, the Stripe billing portal, or by contacting support@musicmuse.astrionix.io. Upon cancellation:
- Your subscription remains active until the end of the current paid billing period.
- You will not be charged for any subsequent billing period.
- Your account will remain accessible with free-tier limitations after the paid period ends.
- Your data (profile, progress, practice history) is retained unless you separately request account deletion.
We do not provide pro-rated refunds for cancellations made partway through a billing period, except as described in our Refund Policy.
8. Refunds
Refund eligibility and procedures are described in our Refund Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

11. AI Features and Disclaimers
MusicMuse uses artificial intelligence ("AI") to provide practice feedback, scoring, and an educational chat assistant. You acknowledge and agree that:
- AI-generated content, feedback, and scores are provided for educational purposes only and may contain errors or inaccuracies.
- AI features do not constitute professional music instruction, medical advice, psychological counseling, or any other form of professional advice.
- AI-generated responses reflect statistical patterns in training data and do not represent the views or endorsement of Astrionix, any artist, or any institution.
- We may use third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI or Anthropic) to power these features, and your interactions may be processed by their systems subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.
- We do not guarantee the availability, accuracy, or reliability of AI features and may modify or discontinue them at any time.
12. Third-Party Services and Links
The Service may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites, services, or content, including but not limited to Stripe (payment processing), OpenAI or Anthropic (AI features), and external image hosting. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of these third-party services. Your use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms and policies.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ASTRIONIX DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT
- WARRANTIES THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS
- WARRANTIES REGARDING THE ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR COMPLETENESS OF ANY CONTENT PROVIDED THROUGH THE SERVICE, INCLUDING AI-GENERATED CONTENT
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties. In such jurisdictions, the above exclusions may not apply to you to the extent prohibited by law.
14. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL ASTRIONIX, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY (CONTRACT, TORT, STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE), EVEN IF ASTRIONIX HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU HAVE PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED UNITED STATES DOLLARS (US $100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation or exclusion of liability for incidental or consequential damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability shall be limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Astrionix and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party right, including any intellectual property or privacy right; or (d) any content you submit to or through the Service.
16. Account Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we determine, in our sole discretion:
- Violates these Terms or any applicable law
- Is harmful to other users, third parties, or the business interests of Astrionix
- Involves fraudulent, abusive, or otherwise objectionable activity
Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including but not limited to Sections 10, 13, 14, 15, and 18.
17. Account Deletion
You may request deletion of your account and personal data at any time by contacting support@musicmuse.astrionix.io or through the account deletion feature in your profile settings. Upon receiving a verified deletion request:
- Active subscriptions must be canceled before account deletion is processed.

- Anonymized or aggregated data that cannot be used to identify you may be retained indefinitely.
18. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
18.1 Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
18.2 Informal Resolution
Before filing any formal legal claim, you agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at support@musicmuse.astrionix.io. We will attempt to resolve the dispute within sixty (60) days of receiving your written notice.
18.3 Binding Arbitration
If informal resolution fails, any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be settled by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") in accordance with its Commercial Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall be conducted in the English language, and the seat of arbitration shall be Wilmington, Delaware.
The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding. Judgment on the award rendered by the arbitrator may be entered in any court having jurisdiction thereof.
18.4 Class Action Waiver
YOU AND ASTRIONIX AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, COLLECTIVE, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims and may not preside over any form of class or representative proceeding.
18.5 Exceptions
Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent irreparable harm.
19. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable while preserving its original intent.
20. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Astrionix regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, or representations, whether written or oral.
21. Waiver
Our failure to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision. A waiver of any term shall be effective only if in writing and signed by an authorized representative of Astrionix.
22. Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms, or any rights or obligations hereunder, without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction in connection with a merger, acquisition, corporate reorganization, or sale of all or substantially all of our assets.
23. Force Majeure
Astrionix shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these Terms where such failure or delay results from causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, government actions, pandemic, power failures, internet or telecommunications failures, or third-party service outages.
